Life in 2010

how in the world am i supposed to summarize 2010? this year has been pretty eventful... getting a new job, moving back to my parents house, kendyl in 2nd grade, a handful of deaths, close friends moving, trips to california, lake powell, boating, friends, family, figuring life out and trying to put my best foot forward. man, sounds tiring but fun.

i think 2010 has been a good year for me. everyone is posting how they can't wait for 2011 in hopes it will be "their year" ... but truthfully, it doesn't matter what year it is - we determine if it's ours or not.

with 2011 approaching, there are going to be some big changes in kendyl and my life. my parents are leaving on their mission the end of february. i'm not sure how i'll handle things once they are gone.  they have been so wonderful and helpful for as long as i can remember.  they have helped so much with kendyl and are such a large part of her life.  i am very excited for them to go and we plan visiting them!

i think once they go, i'll actually have a better understanding of being a single mom.  i have so much help and support that i forget that it's just me sometimes.  i am very grateful for my family, for my mom and dad, and my brothers and sisters who help me.  i am very blessed.

my little one will be baptized before my parents leave; which worked out well.  it will be such a fun event! kendyl and i are both excited for that day!

here's to a new year... i hope everyone's 2011 is "their year" ...
