Lazy Sunday...

This weekend has been a fun one.  Friday night all of my high school gals got together for a night of laughs, food, and stories.  Val brought her kiddos, Hadley and Gunner.  I can't believe Hadley is 11 and Gunner is 8.  I guess we are getting pretty old!
Natalie, Em, and me.. (don't mind my hair...ew)

Kendyl and Hadley

Laura - always so happy!

Val - mother of the oldest our of all our kids! :)

Natalie, Laura, Jesse, and Anne all have new houses! (such lucky gals) Stacy and Sheldon are taking off for Iowa in May and everyone else is doing really well!  I really am grateful for the girls and the fact we get together to keep in the loop with all our lives.  I love my friends!

Last week, Kendyl wanted to make a trip to the mall so she could buy some "nerd glasses."  I laughed and asked her, "You want to buy 'nerd glasses'... people with glasses aren't nerds." Off we went!  Claire's had a plethora to choose from.  Here's what she bought with her own money.

Another update:
Tendinitis is back...

Last year I started having pain in my right thumb.  I thought it was something to do with work and typing. After a few consistent days of throbbing and pain, I went into our health clinic to get some advice.  And the diagnoses?  Tendinitis due to texting. I have "texting thumb" ... lol!  My doctor was intrigued and sent me over to the orthopedic center across the street.  Dr. Lana saw me and agreed with my doctor that texting is a big NO NO!  So Dr. Lana made me a custom splint for my thumb.

And... that brings us to the present day.  My thumb started hurting again and day to day things were hurting.  I went back to my doc who sent me to Dr. L again.  They made me a new splint and added an additional one for bed time! Awesome!
All I need to do is stop texting. Problem solved. Ha ha ha....

Here I am receiving shock therapy (20 minutes) - I'm on my iPhone (not texting) but reading the latest gossip on GeekSugar. One of my favorite apps and sites!

Here's the machine that controlled the level of shock treatment. After the shock, a tech did an ultra-sound on a muscle surrounding my thumb to help "heal" the muscle.

It's such a nice office. All the patients are surrounded by windows and the view is of the SL valley.  In the middle of the room is a counter with straps of all colors, materials to make the splints, etc.

Hopefully my thumb can get some rest and I can stop texting!

Like mother, like daughter! =D My sons and I have also certain eye problems, that's why at a very young age, we have to wear corrective glasses already. But we still feel great and happy about ourselves. And that's what's important.

K and you as nerds? No, I don't think so. You still look pretty with those glasses on! BTW, how old was K when she had to use those eyeglasses? More and more kids incur eye problems at a very young age. Therefore, parents must watch and take care of their kids to prevent them from having eye problems early.
